The sense of smell, or olfaction, is the special sense through which smells are perceived. The sense of smell has many functions, including detecting desirable foods, hazards, and pheromones, and plays a role in taste.  Most researchers agree that dogs' primary sense is olfaction and by adding early scent introduction, it stands to reason that we may be able to improve olfactory performace by taking advantage of neuroplasticity with your puppies.
